We are seeking a Director of Admissions to manage the admissions office at OHS and further develop the existing admissions processes, systems and policies. Reporting to the Head of School, this position will contribute to the overall success of the school by selecting and supporting intellectually passionate students who can thrive in our diverse intellectual community. As a key collaborator with various school units and clients including prospective students and families, you will have an in-depth understanding of our innovative school program, and enjoy the opportunity of working with educational professionals and scholarly educators within and outside of OHS.

Your responsibilities include:
  • Manage and further develop the admissions process and related programs including enrollment, student on-boarding and financial aid, while implementing the school's strategic plan.
  • Maintain and further improve the admissions portal and other support resources for prospective families.
  • Produce detailed analysis and reports on admissions data and make recommendations for enrollment planning.
  • Supervise the Marketing and Outreach Specialist and support the implementation of the marketing and outreach plans.
  • Supervise admissions staff and provide conscientious support for students and families. Provide direct advice for escalated issues.
  • Ensure that the admissions policies and practices are in alignment with expectations in independent schools as well as the University policies and relevant legal regulations.

    To be successful in this position, you will bring:
  • Bachelor's degree and five years of experience in admissions in secondary or higher education.
  • Substantial experience in admissions in secondary or higher education.
  • Experience in supervising or closely supporting a small or midsize team.
  • Ability to drive cross-functional groups toward a common goal.
  • Experience with project management and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Advanced communication skills to clearly and effectively communicate information to internal and external audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills to review and analyze complex qualitative and quantitative information.
  • Advanced computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

    In addition, preferred requirements include:
  • High level of familiarity with an online admissions interface, preferably Slate or similar.
  • Familiarity with standard social media platforms.
