The Position

Lewis University invites applications for a full-time faculty member in the department of Justice, Law and Public Safety Studies. This is a one year appointment, beginning August 2019.  Lewis University serves a diverse student population and community and we invite applications from individuals that embody a commitment to diversity.  

The faculty member will reach four courses per semester in the undergraduate and graduate programs; Develop syllabi and course materials; Advise students; Assess student’s mastery of skills and competencies as required by learning outcomes; Formulate subject matter expertise; and assume responsibility for subject specific curriculum.

Minimum Qualifications

Doctorate degree in Criminal Justice or Criminology. Candidates should have identified research interests and potential for scholarly activity.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with professional experience in the criminal justice and forensics investigation fields are strongly encouraged to apply. A commitment to teaching students with diverse learning styles is welcomed.
