We are located Just south of MInneapolis/St. Paul metro, in Northfield, Minnesota.

The Program Director for Employer Relations is a member of the Carleton College Career Center. This position directs the external relations and recruiting programs with employers seeking to hire talent for internships, short-term assignments, and full-time positions. This position strategically cultivates and strengthens communication with and between employers, students, alumni, and friends of the college. The Program Director will focus on building new models for connecting Carleton’s diverse student population with sought-after employers and cultivating long-term relationships with the employers. It will strategically construct and manage the high volume of year-round recruiting activities of the office. This position will lead the charge and enforce recruiting policies that reflect college expectations of students and employers as well as oversee scheduling and assure effective implementation of employer recruiting activities. This is a full-time year-round position.

The successful candidate must possess a master’s degree in a relevant field; five years of relevant experience in career development in higher education and/or Human Resources or Recruiting; experience managing and building relationships with employers; and experience working with diverse populations. Preferred: minimum two years’ experience working in a college/university recruiting environment; background or experience in coaching students interested in business, finance, and consulting careers.
