Job Details
The Division of Adult & Continuing Education seeks and employs adjunct faculty throughout the year for instructional roles in Gainesville, Corinth, Bowie and Graham.
We are currently seeking instructors for our Workforce Training Courses. The purpose of this position is to teach college courses as listed in current Industrial Pre-Apprentice Program curriculum and provide related services, such as academic advising, committee participation, professional development, community development and others as needed.
Responsibilities and Duties:
•Manage, organize, and teach Blueprint Reading
•Create syllabi, course materials, and assignments to support course learning outcomes
•Ensure that students achieve course learning outcomes as defined in the syllabus
•Responsible for utilizing diverse instructional strategies in response to student learning style
•Responsible for increasing student retention, success and completion
Rate of pay: $27 per hour

Required EducationHigh School Diploma or GED required
Associate’s Degree or Certificate preferred.
Required Skills & AbilitiesExcellent oral and written communication skills.
Microsoft Office proficient.
Ability to promote an effective environment for learning in lecture and lab experiences.
Ability to teach students from diverse cultural and social backgrounds.
Preferred Skills & Abilities Required ExperienceAt least 5 years’ work experience directly related to the reading and/or drawing of industrial prints.
Preferred ExperiencePrefer community college teaching experience.
