Associate Director of Gift and Constituent Data - Georgetown University Law Center

Requirements
The Associate Director of Gift and Constituent Data is an essential member of the Law Donor Relations team within the Development Department and Office of Advancement. S/he supports donor-centric communications and manages the Law Center's donor data, including a pursuit of data integrity and employing an ethic of quality control and passion for utilizing data to improve donors' experiences. Collaborating closely with colleagues in the Law Development Department, the Associate Director of Gift and Constituent Data has duties that include but are not limited to:
- Facilitates the daily operations of Law Donor Relations activities and assists in the planning and development of its annual goals and standing procedures.
- Pulls, interprets, monitors, and analyzes gift data and reports as well as for cost center mangers around the Law Center in support of the Donor Relations and Development departments.
- Resolves problems that could adversely affect the overall goals of Law Advancement by applying professional-level experience, independent judgment, discretion, and knowledge of donor relations best practices and principles of function.
- Responds to donors' inquiries about their gifts, pledge balances, funds, or personal information.
- Transmits pledges, gifts, grants, and donor agreements to the Office of Gift Administration within main campus Advancement or other appropriate office.
- Requests corrections to donor information, gift data, and designations as needed.
- Tracks the status of gift booking, error correction, pending donor agreements, Corporate and Foundation Relations gifts, matching gifts, GoCard gifts, and special reportorial requirements denoted in donor agreements.
- Manages the biannual preparation, review, and mailing of donor pledge reminders.
- Ensures proper processing of donor support by liaising with colleagues at the Law Center, and on Main Campus, in the offices of Financial Affairs, Gift Administration, Donor Agreements, Constituent Records, Advancement Reporting, Sponsored Research, Corporate and Foundation Relations, Alumni Relations, Annual Giving, Centers & Institutes, Development, Stewardship, and Communications, as well as the Law Dean's Office and the President's Office.
- Directs the acknowledgment correspondence process and other donor-facing communications.
- Performs record-keeping for Donor Relations processes, including gift transmittal's.
- Utilizes and serves as departmental expert on the technological systems used to store and process donor data and gifts, including GU360 and GMS, supporting colleagues in their own work within these systems.
- Represents the Law Center on the University's Advancement SWAT team for donor data reporting.
- Serves as Development's website liaison to colleagues in Law Communications and IST.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 3 to 5 years of applicable experience
- Fluency with Microsoft Office
- Aptitude for customer relationship management databases, analyzing data, and reporting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work with discretion and confidentiality when handling internal and external constituents' personal information and giving data
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in higher education, nonprofit development, and/or donor relations
- Demonstrated competency working with finances, including accounting
- Knowledge of Donor Relations best practices and a familiarity/affiliation with the Association of Donor Relations Professionals and/or Donor Relations Guru
