Georgia College welcomes applications for the Director of Academic Advising position.  This position provides vision, leadership, supervision, annual reporting and budgetary oversight for the staff in the Academic Advising Center. The Academic Advising Center provides academic advising and registration and progression assistance for all undergraduate students at the University.

The Academic Advising Center, a unit of the Center for Student Success, houses 19 academic advisors, the assistant director of advising, and a coordinator of office services staff position.  The Academic Advising Center shares the Center for Student Success goals to help students succeed in their studies, graduate in a timely manner, and fully realize their academic and leadership potential as they benefit from Georgia College’s distinctive liberal arts education.

The Academic Advising Center is committed to the smooth transition and the academic success of all undergraduate students at Georgia College. Students are able to experience centralized advising in Lanier Hall, located in the middle of the Academic Square.

Applicants are expected to posses a masters degree and at least three years of leadership and supervisory experience in Academic Advising or other Student Academic Success Programs.
