Position Summary

The Associate Director, University Insurance Programs will support all members of the Office of University Insurance Programs. This position will work with department members to develop office-wide performance and measurement standards, deployment of human and physical resources, and development and evaluation of policies and procedures regarding insurance for the NYU Global Network University as well as NYU Langone Health (on a partial basis). Assists with contract review, the adjustment of claims and underwriting projects. Works with the team leads in the University Insurance Programs department to ensure that that SLA's are being met for all areas of responsibility.

Qualifications

Required Education:Bachelor's DegreePreferred Education:Master's Degree in Business Administration or related field.Required Experience:7+ years progressive experience with insurance and risk management. Must include experience with contract review, insurance procurement and development as well as implementation of insurance and risk management programs in a complex global organization.Preferred Experience:Experience with insurance and risk management for the hospitality, medical and film industries.Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Excellent judgment, decision-making, communication and planning skills. Ability to recommend solutions to complex work issues that may involve legal or organizational risk. Ability to interact with a large, diverse population. Knowledge of insurance law, industry regulations, insurance management, and best practices in risk management.Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:RIMS Fellow (RF) designation
