Position SummaryUnder general supervision of the Associate Director, Diversity Initiatives, this position will represent and market NYU to potential students at on-campus and off-campus recruitment events; cultivate relationships with students, parents, guidance counselors, and community-based organization liaisons to encourage a positive response and interest in attending NYU. He/she will: effectively promote NYU and its schools, colleges, and programs; assist with the achievement of university, geographic, diversity and academic department enrollment targets by encouraging qualified students to apply to NYU; review and evaluate applications for admission; make both final admission decisions and recommend candidates for further admissions committee consideration; review and nominate applications for scholarships; advise students, parents, guidance counselors, and community-based organization liaisons on the application process, university and school/college programs, academic requirements, financial aid options, and other student services; manage a portfolio of special projects and programs under the direction of an Associate Director, Diversity Initiatives; and collaborate with other team members on special projects.QualificationsRequired Education:Bachelor's degree andPreferred Education:Master's degree in higher education administration or related field or equivalent combination of education/experience.Required Experience:3+ years of professional experience in higher education administration or equivalent combination of education and experience.Preferred Experience:Knowledge and understanding of diversity issues in higher education and experience working with multicultural programs and/or student populations.Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Excellent communication, organizational and planning skills; exemplary relationship building skills with both internal and external constituents; and a driver's license.Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Knowledge of PeopleSoft and imaging software.Additional InformationEOE/AA/Minorities/Females/Vet/Disabled/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity
