The primary purpose of this position is to provide business operations and administrative support to the Chief Information Officer and to the University’s Information Technology Services Department staff necessary for the accomplishment of the department’s objectives. To this end, this position exercises judgment and discretion in interpreting departmental and institutional policies and procedures for ITS personnel, university colleagues and the public.

Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Preferred Education/Experience/Skills

At least one year of prior clerical experience or training gained through working with the State of North Carolina and any experiences which developed problem-solving skills and interaction with a wide variety of people would be beneficial. Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets and technology related terminology.

Work Schedule and Hours

Typical hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional overtime as needed to meet the needs of the department.
