General Summary The Illinois State University Department of Technology is seeking an adjunct faculty to teach two sections of TEC 120 Introduction to Building Construction course during the Fall 2019 semester. This undergraduate lecture class teaches the principles, practices, and materials used in residential and commercial construction.

This position is represented by the Illinois State University Education Association and may have associated dues or fees.
Additional Information: The Department of Technology is recognized as one of the premier technology programs in the nation at both the bachelor's and master's levels. Annually serving over 600 students, the faculty and staff are dedicated to preparing individuals for leadership positions as management-oriented technology professionals in six undergraduate programs and four areas of graduate study.
Required Qualifications 1. Master's degree in construction management or construction/civil/architectural engineering with a Bachelor's degree in the same areas. Substantial work experience with Bachelor's degree in lieu of a Master's will be considered.
2. Academic preparation and work experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred: civil engineering, construction management, or related field.
3. Additional experience in one of the following areas is desirable: Teaching an introductory building construction course.
4. State law mandates demonstrable oral proficiency in the English language as a requirement for this position.
