VISITING ASSISTANT PROFESSOR IN CREATIVE WRITING/POETRY

The Department of English at Tulane University seeks to hire a visiting assistant professor in creative writing specializing in poetry with a starting date of July 1, 2019. Candidates who have published a book of poems, a chapbook, or other poetry publications, and have an MFA in poetry are preferred.

Located in a vibrant port city with distinctive literary and cultural traditions, New Orleans is the center for an active literary community.

The teaching load for Visiting Assistant Professors in the School of Liberal Arts is 3-3 Our dynamic faculty enjoys a collegial environment, accomplished and engaged students, and small class sizes.

Qualifications

Candidates must have an MFA degree in hand by the start of the appointment, demonstrate a record of or potential for significant publication, and possess a commitment to undergraduate teaching.
