Research Program Coordinator I (St. Joseph, MO)

DescriptionJob Purpose: Provide administrative and organizational support for research programs(s) conducted within a unit or center. Areas of involvement include program event management, database maintenance, records management, budget administration, and outreach.

 Major Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain multiple databases and record management systems.
  • Maintain records and tracking budget expenses on research and evaluation projects.
  • Coordinate and track all research and evaluation group research activities including data collection, staff meetings, and purchasing and organization of project needs.
  • Compile data, prepare reports and presentations for research projects.
  • Make arrangements for meetings, conferences, and seminars.
  • Coordinate program outreach and marketing efforts.
  • May maintain program related website and/or social media platform.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Basic Qualifications:
  • Education: Technical Diploma, Associates Degree or two-year college course work or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Work Experience: Two to three years job related experience
  • Certifications: N/A
  • Skills: This job requires a working knowledge of program organization and administration within a research/technology oriented environment; skills in budget administration, document production and management, records management, event management, problem solving and office organization; proficiency using office related computer applications; strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Additional tasks may include: Management activities such as coordinating GTRI instructor schedules, class room preparation, classified research document management prepared for contract related tasks, technical report preparation, data collection management, technical interchange meeting preparation, amoungst other similar duties. There is about 10% travel

     

    Additional Information: Must be able to obtain a National Security Clearance within six or twelve months after employment with GTRI begins.
