Job Title Program Tutor/Facilitator - Part Time and Grant Funded Classification Title Department Corporate, Community, & Continuing Education Work Location Education Center at Blue Island Duties

The Programming Tutor/Facilitator will help to develop and prepare young adults (ages 18-24) for the workforce and/or post-secondary education. This individual will facilitate work readiness classes, provide basic skills testing and tutoring, and monitor and keep track of participants in various stages of their development. The individual will report to the Program Manager and work with all other members of the team. The Programming Tutor/Facilitator is dedicated to the learning college concepts by developing programs and facilitating activities that promote student success and lifelong learning.

Education/Experience

Bachelor’s degree required; education/teaching experience in Math &/or English preferred; proficient with Microsoft suite.

Qualifications

The Programming Tutor/Facilitator will facilitate work readiness classes; proctor TABE testing; assist in work readiness workshops and activities; and provide tutoring and homework assistance.

Position Status Part Time Hours

25 hours per week – to be determined
