The Position

The College of Nursing and Health Professions at Lewis University, invites applications for the full-time, Assistant to the Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Studies position.  This position assists the Assistant Dean in the coordination of activities to facilitate successful academic delivery.  Lewis University serves a diverse student population and community and we invite applications from individuals that embody a commitment to diversity.

The Assistant is responsible to create, plan, and track course and clinical schedule for the Undergraduate (UG) program;  collaborate with the Assistant Dean regarding faculty assignments; monitor students for successful completion of requirements for progression and graduation; expedite the advising process and implement the course registration process and collaborate across the departments to ensure student success.  The Assistant will also monitor student files; advise students; and facilitate the NCLEX-RN application process.

Minimum Qualifications

Three to five (3 – 5) years’ experience in nursing and/or academic fields preferred in advisor/counselor and/or administrative/teaching functions. Excellent written and oral communication, facilitation, organization and team skills required. Excellent computer skills required; prefer spreadsheet and/or database management experience.
