Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Fellow / Research Scientist position as part of the T32 program in the department of biostatistics, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The research area of the fellowship is on Biomedical Image Analysis focusing on the longitudinal analysis of the brain connectome in the developing brain with application to studies of normal development, twin studies, Autism and ADHD. The position research is conducted in the UNC Neuro Image Research and Analysis Laboratory under the guidance of Drs Martin Styner and Ayse Berger.

The environments at the UNC Neuro Image Research and Analysis Laboratory and at the UNC departments of biostatistics and psychiatry provide a unique interdisciplinary research environment incorporating collaborations with top-of-the-field researchers in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Radiology, Psychiatry, Pediatrics, Neurology, and Cell-Biology. The candidate will benefit from this diverse research team and will be exposed to cutting-edge technology.

The position starts July 1, 2019 or after and the salary compensation is competitive. The appointment is for one year with potential for reappointment. Educational Requirements

We are looking for an applicant with a PhD degree and background in either one of two fields: a) Biomedical Image Analysis or Computer Vision, b) Neuroscience/biomedical sciences.

Qualifications and Experience

The successful applicant will have solid research, interpersonal, and communication skills.
