Responsibilities include:
(a) coordinating with staff with instructional support in the form of payroll processing, contracts and honoraria.
(b) supervising administrative staff and part-time student workers, while working collaboratively in the recruitment, hiring, and training processes of respective team members;
(c) completing, monitoring, maintaining proper documentation, and following correct procedures for all department purchasing and payment transactions;
(d) assisting staff in making arrangements for special events and meetings, travel, entertainment, conferences and facilities use;
(e) maintaining an effective office environment and office operations, including maintaining adequate office supplies, monitoring proper operations of equipment, handling incoming and outgoing mail; and maintaining proper storage of department documentation,
(f) providing support as needed to field incoming department calls and email; and (g) other duties as assigned. Experience using databases to input data. Proficiency using a Window-based computer, email and calendar applications, and Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel). Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new software applications. Required Demonstrated ability to show initiative to monitor and improve office processes that will lead to greater productivity or efficiency, or foster improved employee or customer satisfaction.
