Department Overview
The University of North Texas Health Science Center Department of Physical Therapy is housed within the School of Health Professions (SHP), which also includes a Physician Assistant Studies Program and an online Graduate Certificate in Lifestyle Health. The PT department offers a clinical Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) and a dual-degree DPT/Ph.D. in Structural Anatomy and Rehabilitation Sciences in collaboration with the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. Position Details
The Department of Physical Therapy at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, TX is expanding its research, education, and clinical mission. We invite nominations and applications for a full-time 12-month faculty position. We are seeking a candidate who has an established or emerging research agenda with the ability to engage in funded clinical or translational research. We are seeking innovative faculty who can contribute to the discovery, dissemination, and implementation of evidence in the field of physical therapy/movement science or related disciplines.

Required Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess the following required qualifications:

* Academic doctorate (PhD, DSc, or equivalent)
* Physical therapy licensure or eligibility for licensure in Texas is required
* Experience in Research, Teaching and/or PT Clinical Experience

Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:

* Research excellence as demonstrated by publications, extramural grant activities, and the desire and potential to conduct nationally/internationally recognized research
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with diverse students and colleagues
* Demonstrates integrity, creativity, commitment, decisiveness, and modesty
* Strong commitment to mentoring graduate students and postdoctoral fellows towards independence
* Postdoctoral training or relevant research experience of at least two years is preferred
