The Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) program at the University of Massachusetts Boston seeks a Non-tenure Track Lecturer to join the Counseling and School Psychology Department within the College of Education and Human Development (CEHD) and the Center for Social Development and Education (CSDE). The ABA program is housed within CEHD but administered through CSDE. Responsibilities include: (1) serve as Graduate Program Director for the ABA Program; (2) teach graduate-level courses; (3) advise graduate students; (4) assist in the recruitment and selection of new students; (5) contribute to CSDE’s active research agenda, and 5) contribute service to the university’s urban mission, to university and departmental committees, and to professional associations. Courses in the ABA Certificate and Master’s Program were approved by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) and will soon be reviewed by the Association for Behavior Analysis International. Students enrolled receive instruction to prepare them to sit for the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) exam.

Candidates must be a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA or BCBA-D) and possess an earned doctorate in School Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis, or related field. Preferred candidates will be able to show evidence of excellence in teaching, and successful prior experience as a BCBA. It is also preferred that candidates have Massachusetts Licensure as an Applied Behavior Analyst (LABA). Experience supporting racially and ethnically diverse individuals in schools, home and/or agency contexts is highly desirable. The successful candidate would join a department whose mission is to promote social justice in diverse communities.

The Counseling and School Psychology Department: The ABA program is in its 18^th year and has its academic home within the Department of Counseling and School Psychology in the CEHD (http://www.umb.edu/academics/cehd). The department serves approximately 300 graduate students working toward degrees in school counseling, mental health counseling, counseling psychology, school psychology, and applied behavior analysis. The Center for Social Development and Education: The ABA program is administered through the Center for Social Development and Education (https://www.umb.edu/csde). CSDE is a multidisciplinary research and training institute whose mission is to promote the social development of children with disabilities and increase their success in school and the community. Unique to CSDE’s mission is the value it places on translating research to practice. For more than 30 years, CSDE’s research findings have guided the development of evidence-based instructional curricula and graduate training programs.
