Description:

A postdoc position is available in the Sammarco Lab in the Department of Surgery, Tulane School of Medicine.

The lab is focused on understanding the influence of aging and metabolism on bone and soft tissue regeneration using the mouse digit tip regeneration model and is located in The Center for Stem Cell Research and Regenerative Medicine. The available project incorporates in vitro and in vivo approaches such as cell culture, immunohistochemistry, gene expression and functional assays.

A qualified successful candidate should be self-motivated and detail oriented with a strong background in molecular biology, genetics, regeneration, aging or developmental biology and have clear oral and written communication skills. Preferred applicants would be willing to work with and guide students, generate publications, contribute to grants, and work as a team to help with the day to day operations of the lab. Preferred qualifications include prior publications and experience working with animal models.


Qualifications:

Minimum education - PhD or equivalent
