The Education-to-Business (E2B) Specialist is responsible for conducting outreach activities in the local market in an effort to build awareness, enhance the University brand and attract new inquiries/students to Strayer University. In this role, the E2B Specialist will develop strong community relationships through outreach activities, engaging potential students, coordinating outreach events and facilitating the needs of prospective students. This role partners with the University’s Business Development team to heavily engage/manage existing partnerships within their assigned market.

**part-time up to 28 hours per week, typically Monday thru Friday, 10am to 4pm (flexible) plus times needed for events**

The E2B Specialist is a vital member of the campus Admissions team, and helps to execute the strategic vision of the team as it pertains to new student growth and outreach initiatives.


The E2B Specialist reports to the Regional Director and will regularly communicate with Regional leaders to continuously improve the success of outreach initiatives.

  • Effectively identify, coordinate and conduct local outreach activities to attract and enroll prospective students. 
  • Maintain consistent and productive communication with the campus operations team.
  • Work with Admissions staff to facilitate recruitment activities associated with prospective students found through outreach events.
  • Collaborate with peers across the market and region to ensure strategic alignment and adoption of best practices.
  • Obtain student inquiries and guide prospective students through the University enrollment process.
  • Participate in University Admissions webinars.
  • Represent the University in the local community.
  • Identify, attract and manage regional alliance partners within assigned market.
  • Set up face-to-face and/or phone interview appointments and conduct campus tours as appropriate.
  • Educate prospective students on the benefits of attending Strayer University.
  • Partner with other departments as necessary to finalize enrollment process, including SAS, SFS, Academics, and the University Registrar’s Office.
  • Adhere to all University policies/procedures and federal, state, and accrediting agency rules with respect to recruitment and outreach.

Education:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited college or university in business administration, marketing or related field is required.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of three years professional experience in enrollment management and/or business development, with demonstrated success in account management and corporate outreach (preferably in the education industry).

  • Demonstrated knowledge of business development, marketing and outreach events
  • Proficiency in communication and presentation skills
  • Must have strong computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Must have a professional demeanor and presence

Other:

  • Must be able to travel 75% of time.
  • Must be able to lift 25lbs.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record
  • Work is performed at customer’s place of business, outreach events, education fairs, community colleges and other professional environments
  • Travel via plane, car, and metro may be required to perform this job. Weekend work and/or travel may be required
  • Access information using a computer.
