Job Description:

Summary

In partnership with the Summer on the Cuyahoga Program, research assistants receive payment for hands-on research and mentoring experiences. Assists with the completion of all assignments and projects as directed.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Works with applicable campus departments to support the completion of assignments and projects
• Attends various student, staff and faculty meetings and workshops
• Effectively interacts as needed with both campus and College-wide departments
• Assists with miscellaneous administrative supports tasks as needed
• Performs other duties as assigned


Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/TRAINING
• Current College student with a minimum of Sophomore status

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES
• Possess strong organizational and time-management skills
• Possess excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work accurately with great attention to detail
• Ability to confidentially and discreetly handle subject matters requiring privacy and sensitivity
• Possess sensitivity to appropriately respond to the needs of a diverse population


Preferred Qualifications


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/TRAINING
• Demonstrated experience in Academic Affairs, Student Affairs or Community Relations

• The work is performed in a normal, professional office environment;

carrying of light items such as papers, files, pamphlets, books, etc.;
• Work may also require walking and standing in conjunction with travel to and attendance at meetings and conferences away from the worksite
