UGA Peanut Entomology is a research and extension program. Within the department of Entomology, our research goal is to develop effective insect management strategies that are economically and environmentally sustainable for peanut products of Georgia. Current tasks include collecting and processing samples, entering data, maintaining a safe and clean lab, and helping prepare and implement research trials.

Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in Position

High School Diploma is preferred

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies Physical Demands

Sit and use a microscope for extended periods of time, lift 50 pounds, handle being outside during the summer months, and be punctual.
