Job Summary:

Job Summary:

Teaches computer information systems for the Fall 2019 semester.

Essential Job Functions:

1.Maintain syllabus, assignments, and exams as necessary

2.Participate in student retention and persistence efforts

3.Communicate progress in the course to students in a timely manner

4.Maintain accurate records of students’ attendance and progress and provide them to administration in accordance with established institutional policies and procedures

5.Support the mission of the program, division, and college.

6.Completes all mandatory training and participated in a minimum of two professional development each year.

7.Perform other duties as assigned.

8. Classes taught may included: Game Design, Microsoft Office, Computer Programming, or Networking.

Education & Experience

Position Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field required.

Work Experience:

At least two years teaching experience, preferably at the college level.



Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to effectively communicate one-on-one, in small groups and in classroom situations.
  • Proficient in word-processing and presentation software, internet and email.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse group of students.
  • Effective verbal, written, and listening communication skills.
  • Effective problem solving skills.
  • Passion for assisting customers and representing the OSU brand with positivity and professionalism.
  • Evidences a history of demonstration ethical and professional behavior.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related field

Classes may be day and/or evening.
