DEAN OF ACCREDITATION, ASSESSMENT, AND CURRICULUM, SCHOOL OF NURSING

POSITION SUMMARY

This position provides direct leadership to accreditation and assessment initiatives ensuring compliance with accreditation standards. Leads in the academic oversight in the curricular development of new program initiatives in collaboration with Deans and Assistant Deans, within the School of Nursing (SON).

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: This position reports to the Vice President Academic Affairs, SON.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Direct accreditation efforts ensuring compliance with State, Accreditation standards (CCNE), and other relevant standards.
• Lead assessment process within the School of Nursing coordinating strategic/priority curricular activities and development of reports.
• Guide Assessment Fellows and supports their assessment work at the divisional level.
• Manages resource allocation, including fiscal/budgetary issues, related to accreditation and assessment.
• Initiates and chairs task forces for new program development, grants, and sponsored program opportunities ensuring program and curricular integrity.
• Participates in recruitment, hiring, and assessment of faculty.
• Serves as a member of relevant committees and groups.
• Teaches three (3) credits per year.
• Supervise assigned professional and support staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Remote accessibility is needed to accomplish duties and responsibilities on short notice when away from the office as well as from time to time being “on call” outside of normal office hours.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

• Master’s degree in nursing.
• Earned Doctorate from an accredited institution of higher education

Experience:

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures representing a diversity of work and conflict resolution styles.
• Experience in assessment, data collection, analysis, and reporting.
• Minimum of three years administrative or management experience in higher education.

Required Skills:

• Applicant must hold a valid, unencumbered, Indiana RN license upon hire
