Position Summary



PASS Camp Coordinators are responsible for the management and coordination of P.A.S.S. Camp. Coordinators will work with the Youth Activities Manager, Coaches, and Specialty Coaches to ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of every camper, and that the quality of camp is maintained.




Essential Functions

  • Provide excellent customer service to program participants and parents
  • Ability to provide training, manage staff, and organize the daily happenings of camp
  • Assist in group management and instruction when necessary
  • Ensure camp adheres to all state licensing protocols
  • Develop age appropriate programming for camp
  • Provide and participate in staff meetings and training sessions
  • Respond to participant questions and comments
  • Provide excellent customer service to all Ritchie Center guests
  • Maintain a general knowledge of youth programs
  • Additional duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Interest and experience coaching children 5-11 years old
  • Experience supervising staff
  • Experience working in a camp setting
  • Prior experience playing and instructing sports
  • Ability to work effectively in the department
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to PASS State and Federal Background Checks
  • Current CPR & First Aid Certification, or ability to complete training prior to start of camp
  • Ability to complete all online and in person training prior to camp start date
  • Ability to attend mandatory staff training May 20th-26th
  • Availability to work throughout summer May 20th-August 23rd

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School diploma & some college experience
  • Experience working as a Director or Assistant director in a childcare facility
  • Experience in coaching youth sports
  • Collegiate athletic experience

Work Schedule

Monday - Friday, between the hours of 7 a.m. - 6 p.m. Exact work schedule to be determined with supervisor.

Pay

The pay for this position is $13.00 - 15.00 hourly
