DescriptionThe Department of Computer Science (CS) at the Universityof Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) invites applications for full-timeinstructor position. The candidate will teach undergraduate courses includingcross-listed courses in the College of Engineering and Applied Science asassigned by the Chair of the Computer Science Department. The course load foran instructor/senior instructor is up to 24 credit hours (8 courses of 3 credithours each) per academic year, but can be lowered if the instructor participatesin other activities. Examples of coursesto be taught are Intro to Computing, Data Structures and Algorithms, SoftwareEngineering, Programming Languages, C#, C++,  Python, Databases.

 Other activities include: 1. Curriculum development including the development ofnew courses.

2. Guiding undergraduate students in independent studies3. Developing and teaching distance courses4. Advising undergraduate majors5. Participating in College and Departmental committeesand meetings

6. Other as assigned by the Chair of the Computer ScienceDepartment.

 The 9-month salary range for this position is$57,000-$60,000

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:MS in Computer Science or closely related field. Desired Qualifications:An earned Ph.D. in Computer Science, or closely related field; 

Teaching experienceat the college level;

Experience with delivery of distance courses
