The Executive Director is a strategic and visionary position that develops local, statewide and national relationships with educators, service providers, and funders to grow and advance education and training programs that align with the College’s mission and that further the College’s student learning outcomes. The Executive Director provides leadership, supervision and oversight for all aspects of academia and operations, including strategic planning and development for the Center’s Academic Affairs and Student Service programs and services such as Custodial and Public Safety. Responsibilities also include ongoing examination of market trends and community dynamics as well as the development of innovative approaches to enable the Center to remain student-ready and relevant. This is a Professional Exempt Contractual (PEC) position for which an annual contract reflecting the base salary within the fiscal year (July 1st to June 30th) will be issued after ratification by Miami Dade College’s District Board of Trustees.

    Provides strategic leadership, oversight and direction for all aspects of the Center, including staffing, budgeting, service delivery and academic and student service programmingCrafts innovative recruitment and student support plans, to include pre-college/dual enrollment, in order to attract traditional and non-traditional students to the Center for credit and non-credit programs and to advance student successInitiates collaborations and partnerships with internal and external constituents to determine gaps in program offerings and services and to create new programs and improvements in service offerings.Manages the Center’s annual budget including payroll and purchasing expendituresIdentifies external funding opportunities and leads the development of proposals Collaborates with Campus deans, department chairpersons, directors, and faculty to schedule and manage course delivery and maintain the physical infrastructure of the CenterIntegrates initiatives, internal and external, that promote and enhance academic affairs and student servicesEstablishes and maintains linkages with local, state and national organizations and institutions, such as local K-12 schools, CBOs, Chambers, economic development, and entrepreneurship organizations

  • Master’s degree in Business, Public Administration, Government Affairs or related field and six (6) years of progressive management responsibilities in either higher education, private industry, or large community or governmental organization.
