The Part-Time Program Assistant I performs clerical and administrative support duties for the Program Director at the Center for Professional Development within the School of Education.

•Provides support to the program director, adjunct instructors, and advisors in a number of clerical and administrative functions
•Responds to electronic, telephone, and in person inquires
•Provides general and specific information to students, faculty, and staff
•Tracks students’ progress towards program completion
•Reminds students of deadlines, submittal dates, expiration date of documents, pending tests
•Monitors students’ compliance with State approved program requirements
•Develops, maintains, and coordinates linked Excel workbooks and worksheets
•Checks electronic and hard copy records for completion
•Develops and produces computer generated reports for program assessment purposes
•Develops and produces computer-generated documents for marketing purposes, presentations, and recruitment activities
•Performs other duties as assigned

•30 College credits and one (1) year of related experience; or High School Diploma or GED equivalent from a regionally accredited institution and three to four (3-4) years of related experience
•Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures
•Ability to demonstrate a strong background in all Microsoft Office applications and department related software
•Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
•Extensive knowledge of School of Education programs, policies, and class offerings
•Knowledge of Florida Department of Education Educator Certification Requirements
•Possess excellent telephone and customer service skills
•Ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision
•Possess excellent interpersonal and communications skills
•Knowledge of class schedules, pre and co-requisites, course sequencing, an special requirements for admission to the programs
•Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekend assignments
•Ability to work well in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staff
