This is a specialized Human Resources position in the Recruiting Services Department with a medium level of technical and administrative complexity. The Part-Time Recruiting Services Coordinator performs key duties in support of the day-to-day operations within the Recruiting Services Department.

•Assists with prescreening of applications/resumes, checks references, processes Request for Personnel Action (RPA’s) and facilitates full-time and part-time employment offers
•Creates and posts positions on different venues, including external posting sites, publications, and web and print
•Troubleshoots, resolves, and researches inquiries from internal customers on RPA forms, applications, transcripts, and other related documents, including paychecks
•Processes Personnel Requisitions and maintains the Recruiting Services Job Board
•Maintains accurate records of all transactions pertinent to the processing of Part-time Personnel Requisitions for the recruitment of position vacancies
•Coordinates, monitors, and documents program successes for New Hire On-Boarding, Affirmative Action Program and Assessments
•Conducts Onboarding Presentations for new hires, and other presentations to both internal and external groups as needed
•Participates in and coordinates recruiting activities such as job fairs, open houses, and individualized campus recruitment activities, and disseminates information to departments, staff and the public regarding employment opportunities
•Assists Recruiting Services Manager/Associate Vice Provost in evaluation of hiring criteria to establish salary of potential employees and/or adjusted salary of current employees
•Trains campus personnel and HR staff on an as needed basis
•Prepares weekly reports, bi-annual Faculty new-hire report, and assists the manager in the collection of data for local, state and federal salary surveys; as well as, internal College reports as needed
•Scans and stores assigned documents to maintain a paperless environment
•Retrieves and responds to daily Recruiting Services hotline as assigned
•Performs other duties as assigned

•Associate’s Degree from an accredited institution and two (2) years of clerical/ human resources or applicable experience; or 30 college credits and three (3) years of clerical/or human resources experience; or a combination of education, training and experience
•All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
•Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures
•Knowledge of basic personnel/human resources theory, laws, and principles
•Knowledge about spreadsheets, database programs and office automation
•Knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications
•Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
•Ability to use tact and a high level of professionalism
•Possess effective communication, follow-up, and organizational skills
•Ability to successfully interact with all levels of management and employees
•Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive personal information of applicants, employees, and former employees
•Ability to follow oral and written instructions
•Ability to work well in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staff
