Reports To: Vice President for Educational Services
Starting Salary: $95,399

JOB SUMMARY
The position manages academic programs and operations in the Business Academic Area. Programs include Accounting, Business Administration (Entrepreneurship, Management, and Marketing), Computer Information Technology, and the Great Lakes Culinary Institute. Provides leadership for the development and deployment of certificate and degree programs.
As director of academic affairs, manages and supervises Central Scheduling academic scheduler, and work related to curriculum approval and review, course and program assessment, and academic record keeping related to faculty, curriculum, and academic processes.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATES and LICENSES
Required:
- Demonstrated experience with community engagement
- Experience and/or knowledge of academic operations
- Minimum of 5 years experience at managing a staff
- Successful record of achievement in teaching
- Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university
Preferred:
- Demonstrated ability leading cross-functional teams
- Experience at a director level or higher
- Master's Degree from a regionally accredited college or university
- Successful record of achievement in teaching at the community college level

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises others in accordance with NMC's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding, recognizing employees; addressing performance problems or gaps.

This is a full-time, 40+ hour per week position.
