General Summary: Develops and manages services, programs and resources to assist students and alumni in identifying and securing employment.

Requirements: Master's degree in counseling, student personnel services or related field and a minimum of three years experience. Ability to interact with students and employers in a professional community. Strong interpersonal, leadership, problem resolution, marketing, communication, writing, multitasking, presentation and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement new and/or revised programs/services. Knowledge of local and regional job market and employer expectations. Ability to interact effectively as a team member and work collaboratively. Ability to listen to customers, understand their requests and respond positively. Ability to plan, coordinate, monitor and motivate. Knowledge of the career decision making and placement processes. Experience in supervising faculty and/or staff, budget management and program coordination. Proficient in Microsoft Office and web. Previous experience as a manager. Persuasive sales techniques.

Duties: 1. Assists students, alumni and community members with employment searches by offering training on resume and cover letter development, interviewing skills, reference and portfolio preparation and other desired skills.

2. Plans, develops and administers career services programs and events such as seminars, group presentations, on-campus recruiting and job fairs for student, alumni and community members.

3. Recruits, registers and approves employers for college specific job website; reviews and approves job posting to site. Solicits employers to participate in on-campus information and recruiting events offering full-time and part-time positions, internships and co-ops.

4. Collaborates with career services directors on each campus to develop and implement College-wide programs and standards including consistent delivery of services, common marketing and instructional materials, employer development, advisory board administration and assessment of services.

5. Partners with academic deans and faculty to develop program specific work experiences for students by developing co-operative education, internships and experiential learning opportunities for students.

6. Identifies and submits High Priority Occupation programs of study to the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and local workforce investment board for approval; reports results and data to appropriate campus/college departments.

7. Prepares and administers department budgets; develops and submits monthly reports on activities and objectives.

8. Assigns tasks to and supervises personnel.

9. Develops and manages campus work-study programs in collaboration with the financial aid office.

10. Develops working relationships with employers via phone, email, organizational memberships, community involvement, etc.

11. Participates in planning programs in collaboration with the academic division by providing current/projected job market data.

12. Serves on various councils and committees as needed.

13. Performs other duties as assigned.

Clearances: Current criminal record/child abuse clearances will be required if offered the position and in order to be employed at the College. The three clearances are Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Records Check, and Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) Criminal Background Check.
