Position Summary
Dominican University of California is seeking a Credential Analyst/Assessment Manager, responsible for reviewing, analyzing, evaluating, and processing recommendations for California teaching credentials. This position also serves as a resource to provide support, guidance, and current information on matters regarding State and university credential regulations to current students, alumni, faculty, staff, and the public.


  • Understand, articulate and stay current with the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) credentialing procedures, program standards, changes in state laws, rules, and regulations affecting credentialing procedures and requirements.
  • Work closely with the Manager of Functional Data Processes to ensure that the reports and data are accurate and efficient.
  • Communicate frequently with credential candidates regarding their progress in completing all requirements.
  • Assist with academic advising for all credential and Master of Science in Education programs; serve as an advisor and point-of-contact for students in the absence of dean, department chair, program directors, advisors, or faculty.
  • Analyze and explain CTC credential requirements and university program requirements for all current and former students, faculty, administrative/operational department staff, and the public.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university.
  • Minimum of three years' experience in an administrative support role at an office environment.
  • Strong employee customer service orientation
  • Strong computer skills with MS Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters degree
  • Experience in a non-profit or Higher Education setting
  • Familiar with CTC procedures and regulations.
