Duties Performed in the Usual Course of the Job

Accountable for the execution and follow through of the Exercise Science internship program. Develop and implement affiliation agreements and similar documentation. Develop procedures for internship placement. Travel to internship sites for updates on intern progress and meetings with site supervisors as needed. Handle all aspects associated with the Exercise Science internship program. Teach Internship (KINE 4394) and additional classes as need to fulfill FTE requirements. Plan, develop, implement, coordinate, and monitor the internship program and associated services. Respond to information requests. Prepare, review, revise, and distribute documents and correspondence. Perform other duties as assigned.

Educational Requirements for the Position

Master’s degree in Kinesiology or a related field, preference will be given to a Master’s degree in or with an emphasis in Exercise Science. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.

Experience Required for the Position

A minimum of 1 year coordinating and facilitating internships, minimum of 1 year college teaching experience. Evidence of experience with program administration and coordination may be considered in lieu of direct internship coordination experience.
