The Department of Occupational Therapy at Ithaca College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-eligible assistant/associate professor position to teach undergraduate and graduate courses beginning August 16, 2019.
Being a faculty member in the Ithaca College Occupational Therapy Department comes with many unique opportunities, including:
•Collaborating on research with undergraduate and graduate students;
•Supervising students in on-site and community-based clinical settings;
•Engaging with the community through service learning activities;
•Developing experiential classroom learning activities;
•Contributing to current and future curriculum design, including the development of a new entry-level OTD curriculum.

The successful candidate will teach within their area of expertise, maintain a line of scholarly inquiry, and participate in the life of the college through appropriate committee work, student advising/mentoring, thesis advisement, and professional service and scholarship.

Position/Job Qualifications

Certified OTR and licensed or license-eligible in New York state; a minimum of three years of clinical experience; and an earned doctoral degree in occupational therapy or a related field (ABD may be considered). Previous teaching experience is preferred.

The Department of Occupational Therapy at Ithaca College offers an established, accredited five year program leading to a B.S. in Occupational Science and an M.S. in Occupational Therapy, as well as a two+ year program leading to a Professional-Entry Level Masters of Occupational Therapy degree. The Occupational Therapy Program emphasizes experiential learning, evidence-based practice, and professional reasoning.
