Spanish - Visiting Assistant Professor or InstructorDate: 03/27/2019

Visiting Assistant Professor or Instructor of Spanish, one-year position, starting September 1, 2019. Ph.D. or advanced ABD in Spanish. Area: Contemporary Latin American Literature & Culture. Applicants must have native or near-native command of Spanish and experience and demonstrated excellence in language and literature teaching. The Spanish Department is especially interested in candidates who, through their research, teaching, and/or service, will contribute to the diversity and excellence of the campus community. Principal responsibilities include teaching a 5 course teaching load (language and literature) during the academic year. Applicants should submit: 1. A letter of application (cover letter.) 2. A current curriculum vitae. 3. Course proposals for two Contemporary Latin American Literature courses (one at the introductory level and one advanced course).

Evidence of teaching effectiveness and letters of recommendation will be requested if applicants move forward in the interview process. Review of applications will begin March 29 (2019) and will continue until the position is filled.
