Overview

The School of Education invites applications for a nine-month tenure-track faculty position as Assistant Professor of Education.

 

Responsibilities

The responsibilities for this position include teaching effectively at the undergraduate and graduate levels in both traditional and online programs, providing sound academic advisement, conducting socially significant research, and pursuing external funding.  The candidate will provide service to the University, profession, and community; maximize opportunities to initiate growth in and secure grant funding; and perform other duties within the scope of this position as assigned by the supervisor. 

 

Qualifications

An earned doctorate in early childhood education, elementary education, middle level education, literacy/reading, curriculum and instruction, or related field is required; college level teaching experience is preferred. Evidence of research and grant writing skills and knowledge of educational pedagogy, curriculum and instructional foundations, and participation in curriculum development adapted to standards-based curricular are desirable.

 

SALARY: Salary and rank commensurate with qualifications and experience.
