Job Title: Web Content Manager

Position Reports to: Vice President of Marketing & Communications

Position Summary:
The Web Content Manager is a creative and tech-savvy communications professional who helps further and improve the University’s web content and user experience while contributing to overall web-based marketing efforts. The Web Content Manager is responsible for writing, editing, image selection and search engine optimization (SEO) for the university’s website along with oversight of the Content Management System (CMS).

Qualifications:
One to two years of work experience and/or a bachelor’s degree in Communication, English, Marketing or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess highly developed skills in writing and content development for digital channels, along with experience around CMS and other web measurement and management systems. Knowledge of photography, Adobe Creative Suite and programming is a plus.

Duties and Responsibilities:
•Develop and edit copy for website pages while optimizing for search engine optimization (SEO), accessibility, mobile viewing, and visitor conversion.
•Select, edit and optimize images for placement on the website.
•Oversee and act as the administrator for the website Content Management System, including establishing all processes, procedures and training for other campus users as needed.
•Utilize the website measurement and management tools—SiteImprove, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Pardot—to meet site and marketing goals, assess the site’s performance, and provide reports and recommendations for improvement.
•Develop web landing page content and lead conversion optimization strategies while ensuring alignment with other social media, advertising and marketing efforts.
•Work closely with the marketing team, IT staff, vendors and other key departments and individuals, to maintain a website that is frequently updated and meets all website and larger strategic goals and objectives.
•Performs other related duties as assigned.
