Nationally recognized for its leadership in pharmacy education and its strong commitment to developing and sustaining a diverse faculty, staff and student body, the Skaggs School of Pharmacy has achieved many milestones in its 100-plus year history including being ranked in the top 20 percent of all schools of pharmacy in the country, and fifth in the nation for total NIH funding. The Center for Pharmaceutical Outcomes Research (CePOR) in the University of Colorado Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (SSPPS) is seeking applicants for a two year fully University and BresMed-funded Post-PhD Fellowship. CePOR investigators have funding relationships with various private non-profit (the Institute for Clinical and Economic Review (ICER) (https://icer-review.org/announcements/icer-cu-collaboration/) and for-profit entities (e.g. BresMed (https://www.bresmed.com/)) to develop decision models and disseminate findings from each case-specific cost-effectiveness model. For this Fellowship, the Fellow will work on developing de novo cost-effectiveness models for a specific disease area or type of treatment (e.g. dementia, innovative immunotherapies) and/or work on reviewing and developing methodologies for cost-effectiveness models (e.g. single arm trials, real world evidence, model averaging). Additionally, CePOR investigators have funding for other projects in outcomes research including pharmaceutical value as well as observational studies. The Fellow will work closely as a member of the CePOR research team and collaborate with faculty and students in the SSPPS. The Fellow will be encouraged to lead projects and disseminate research through professional meetings and publications. The Fellow will gain valuable real-world skills applicable to industry, academic, government, or other jobs in pharmaceutical value and outcomes research space. It is expected that the Fellow will spend one year in CePOR and one year in BresMed America during the two year Fellowship. BresMed is one of the largest privately owned health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) consultancies in the world. The office dynamic provides a learning environment and is intellectually stimulating, fun, and focused on high-quality deliverables. With our head office in Sheffield, we employ over 150 people across the UK, the US, India, Ireland and the Netherlands. The services we provide include evidence review, evidence development, and communications, with a common thread of strategy and insight. With a wealth of experience in health economics analysis, we pride ourselves on excellence. The salary range for this position is approximately $55,000 to $60,000 per year contingent on qualifications. The Universityof Colorado offers a full benefits package. QualificationsMinimum qualifications are a PhD in health economics, outcomes research, decision sciences, or a closely related field. Preference will be given to applicants with decision modeling experience.
