Postdoctoral FellowPosition in Inflammation/Innate Immunity
A postdoctoral positionis available in the laboratory of Elizabeth J. Kovacs, PhD in the Department ofSurgery at the University of Colorado Denver Anschutz Medical Campus. Thelaboratory works on multi-organ system inflammatory responses and innateimmunity in the context of tissue injury after trauma. Recent studieshave focused on the effects of alcohol intoxication, advanced age, sexdifferences and infection on the initiation and resolution of inflammation.

Qualifications
Qualifications
The successful candidate must be a highly-motivated and career-oriented person with < 2 years of post-doctoral experience, and a PhD in immunology, microbiology, cell biology, biochemistry or a closely related field. He/she should have experience working with animal models and/or human specimens and basic molecular biology and cell culture skills. Outstanding oral and written communication skills are also required. The ability to work independently and in collaboration is essential. Qualified applicants should have multiple first-author research papers published in peer-reviewed journals.

Candidate must meet the requirements of the T32 - Ruth L. Kirschstein Institutional National Research Service Award grant.
