The postdoctoral research associate will develop an individual training and research plan together with Dr. Hart. He/She will perform research full-time employing state of the art molecular biological, biochemical and chemical approaches, including chromatography, mass spectrometry, enzymology, chemical biology or any other method needed to address the biological question. He/she will also be expected to help supervise undergraduate students and graduate students in the laboratory. Possible project include, but are not limited to: O-GlcNAc regulation of translation or transcription; O-GlcNAc regulation of ribogenesis; O-GlcNAc’s roles in tumore cell immunosuppression of cytotoxic lymphocytes; mechanisms of O-GlcNAc’s roles in Alzheimer’s disease or studies of the functions of O-GlcNAc in the functions of neurons.

Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in Position

Must have a Ph.D. or MD degree with considerable experience in biochemistry, chemistry, molecular biology or allied fields. A publication record in good journals is helpful.
