Position is located at Burton 4-H Center on Tybee Island. Incumbent will independently lead young people through multidisciplinary classes in the outdoors. Other responsibilities involve maintenance of facilities, grounds, and general operation of facilities.

Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in Position

Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Natural Science, Environmental Education, Biology, Forestry, Outdoor Education, or related fields preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

Commitment and genuine interest in child development. Dynamic personality, well developed communication skills, creativity, and leadership ability.

Physical Demands

Lift 50 pounds and work in adverse weather conditions.
