Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Director of School District Partnerships, oversee the operation of the High School SOAR Program at the Downtown Aurora Campus.  

Core responsibilities include managing program operations including attendance, safety, discipline, instructor services, parent communication, textbook distribution, and grade reporting. Serve as a classroom substitute as needed.

Special Instructions to Applicants:  This is a temporary summer position with classes each weekday from June 10-28, 2019, and July 8-26, 2019. You will be assigned either a morning (7:30 p.m. to 12:30 p.m.) or afternoon shift (12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.). A copy of your transcript is required at the time of interview or can be attached electronically to this application. There is a mandatory program orientation on Thursday, June 6, 2019, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Education & Experience

Position Qualifications:

  • Minimum:  Bachelor's degree in Education or related field. Current IL education certificate. Experience working with a diverse student population.
  • Preferred:  Master's degree in Education or related field. Current IL administrative certificate. Administrative experience at the middle or high school level. Bilingual English/Spanish.
