Job Summary:

The Waubonsee Upward Bound program is seeking instructors to teach summer courses during a five-week summer program.  

Subjects include: Mathematics (Algebra through Calculus), 
Science (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics)
English (Literature and composition)
Foreign Language (beginning through advanced Spanish)

Special Instructions to Applicants:  This is a temporary summer position. Upward Bound summer classes run Monday through Thursday, June 17 - July 18, 2019. There are no classes on July 3 and 4, 2019. Instructors are scheduled to work 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Mandatory dates: Staff Orientation on June 11, 2019 from 8:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Open House on July 22, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Please attach all required documents at time of application.

Education & Experience

Position Qualifications: Bachelor's degree.

Completed at least 1 year of teaching at the high school or college level.  Substitute teaching experience will be considered.

Demonstrated ability to meet diverse learning requirements of students and experience working with diverse student populations.
