Job Responsibilities
TTC, located in Charleston, SC, is a public, two-year multi-campus institution, that provides quality education and promotes economic development in Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester counties.
This is an excellent opportunity to use your experience in welding and give to others seeking education, training and a new career. In order to build an active pool of qualified applicants, Trident Technical College is accepting applications for adjunct faculty to teach at the Thornley Campus. Positions available for day and evening courses. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, teaching varying schedules, utilizing technology, and using a variety of teaching methods in instruction.
Instructors are needed to teach entry-level through advanced classes in shielded metal arc, gas tungsten arc, gas metal arc, flux cored arc, and oxyacetylene/plasma arc/carbon arc cutting processes as well as related courses in blueprint reading, metallurgy, welding safety, and weld inspection, testing, and codes.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
To qualify for these positions, you must have at least a minimum of five (5) years current welding experience and must pass certification tests in each welding process taught. Excellent customer service skills are required. Salary is commensurate with education and experience. This position is open until filled.
Preferred Qualifications
Teaching/training experience and an associate degree in a related area is preferred.
