Basic Function:To teach all levels of Anatomy and Physiology at the Alexandria Campus.
Duties and Responsibilities:Teach particularly Bio 141 and 142, to a diverse student population interested in nursing or medical related field. Provide advising for students. Attend relevant professional development opportunities, especially with respect to lab technology used on campus and learning management system (Canvas).
Minimum Qualifications:Applicants must have a Master’s degree from an accredited institution plus 18 credits in Physiology, Biomedical Sciences or related field or an M.D. from an accredited college with significant biology credits. Applicants must be skilled in basic instructional technology and familiar with learning management system such as Canvas or Blackboard.
Preferred Qualifications:M.D. or MS in Physiology or Biomedical Sciences is preferred. Experience teaching anatomy and physiology is preferred. Experience teaching various modes including hybrid is a plus.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Strong English language communications skills. Ability to use learning management system such as Canvas or Blackboard. Willingness to learn and incorporate existing laboratory technologies including Anatomage Table and Lab Quest equipment.
