Media Technology Manager

Duties: Manages the operations of the engineering division of Media Services. Provides technical support for the campus’ audio-video technologies and facilities. Oversees and provides technical support for campus video editing systems, video production studios and multimedia projection/distribution systems. Oversees the operation of the University’s cable television educational access channel, Night and weekend work sometimes required.

Qualifications: Training and experience in broadcast television engineering and electronics with a minimum of four years’ practical experience in the field required. Direct experience with broadcast production equipment including video switching consoles, audio distribution equipment, character generation, cameras and lighting systems required. Direct experience with digital video editing and storage systems required. Experience with AVID products highly preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Communications or a related area preferred. Credentials and/or experience substantially comparable to the above may be considered.
