The Department of Civil and Geomatics Engineering in the Lyles College of Engineering at California State University, Fresno invites applications for the Part-time Temporary Faculty position in the Civil Engineering Program.

The Civil Engineering Program seeks qualified candidate(s) to teach undergraduate courses, including CE150 (see below), for the Fall 2019 semester (with potential for renewal Spring 2020 and beyond):

CE150 (3-unit): Prerequisite: GME 15, upper-division standing. Geometric design of land transportation facilities, primarily road/street systems. Traffic theory and analysis, including statistical analysis of traffic parameters. Freeway and intersection capacity. Simple transportation demand forcast. (2 lecture, 3 lab hours)

Required Education

MS in Civil Engineering, or in a related area. Applicants with a BS in Civil Engineering will be considered, if the applicant meets the required experience (PE) with 5 or more years of practicing experience

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of relevant standard specifications and building code is desirable. Teaching experience at the university level is not a must, but preferred.
