General Description

Corporate Solutions seeks to become the preferred training provider for employment opportunities in advanced manufacturing. We provide a hands-on program that prepares students for entry-level employment in the natural gas industry. Students will learn how to perform tasks needed to install and maintain pipelines for natural gas distribution systems, which provide natural gas service to residential, commercial and industrial customers.

Corporate Solutions is seeking skilled practitioners to facilitate training trades and advanced manufacturing in the following topics: Workplace Success/CAST preparation; Properties of Natural Gas; Abnormal Operating Conditions of Natural Gas; Locating & Markout; Pipe Installation; Excavating & Backfilling a Pipe; Installing & Replacing Trace Wire; and more.


Specific Responsibilities

• Facilitate training segments within the Gas Pipeline certificate program. Classes are during the daytime hours. This position pays a competitive hourly rate.

• Upon completion of this workshop, participants will be prepared to complete the Operator Qualification exams for the Office of Pipeline Safety of the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT).Minimum Qualifications

• All candidates must have a high school diploma.

• At least 5 years of experience in the gas/energy industry; specifically formal experience in various phases of gas pipeline operation.

• Must be familiar with the following areas of instruction: inspection for atmospheric corrosion, visually inspecting for internal corrosion, excavating and backfilling a pipe, applying pipe coating, installing and replacing an anode on a pipe, installing replacing and testing electrical isolation coupling on a pipe, installing and replacing a corrosion test station on a pipe, locating and markout, inspecting the condition of exposed pipe or pipe coating, inspecting pipe for damage, repairing a non-leaking damaged pipe, installation of pipe, purging a pipe, performing pressure test on a pipe, stopping gas flow, installing and replacing tracer wire, abandoning a gas service, joining pipe materials other than plastic, joining plastic pipe, installing tapping tee on pipe, inspect plastic pipe fusion joint, operating a meter valve, abnormal operating conditions and properties of natural gas, and identifying and reacting to meter assembly abnormal operating conditions. Will accept experience as an on-the-job trainer.

7 to 10 years working experience.
