Position Summary:

Incumbent provides patient care and nursing services to an assigned group of patients. Acts as a role model and clinical resource to other clinic staff. Coordinates physicians and patients as needed or requested by the supervisor/manager, ensuring that a team based approach to delivery of patient care services is utilized. Assists in developing patient education for assigned clinic. Schedules office visits and procedures as needed.

Salary Range:

Rate Minimum $47.00 Midpoint $55.76 Maximum $64.52

Required Qualifications:

1 year current oncology and chemotherapy experience required

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the HealthSystem

Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload

Ability to work effectively with colleagues, physicians and others as part of a care team

All external candidates must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing

BLS Required

Current California RN license

Current chemotheropy/biotherapy card required within 3 months of hire

Demonstrated knowledge and practice of infection control techniques

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Knowledge and practice of body mechanics

Minimum of six months demonstrated nursing experience

Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job

Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties

One year outpatient clinical experience including assisting in bone marrow biopsy

Preferred Qualifications:

Bilingual skills to communicate effectively with patients and families

Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms

Oncology Certification

Understanding of applicable regulatory requirements
