Job Description

The Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of California, Los Angeles, seeks applicants for an Assistant Project Scientist position. The candidate must hold a PhD in biological oceanography, and have at least two years of experience beyond the PhD. The candidate must have detailed knowledge of organic components of bio-carbonates. The candidate must have demonstrated skills in proteomics and elemental and isotopic analyses. This position is part-time and is expected to be at 25-75% time.

Successful candidates will be expected to publish results in scientific journals and present results at national and international meetings. In 15 of the 16 medical specialty areas examined, UCLA Medical Center ranked in the top 20.
